In the unfortunate event that you are seporated from your bike your body will be subject to three forces:
Impact: Hitting the ground, whether at 1 or 100km/h is the same, this is gravity at work.
Contortion: Hyperflection and hyperextention (over bending of the limbs.)
Aberration: The road acting as sandpaper.
These jackets are designed to minimize all three.
There is padded armour in the elbows, shoulders and back of all our jackets to help absorb impact.
For the flection and extension our jackets have pre-formed arms and adjustable straps to make sure the armour is snug to the body.
All the jackets have anti-abrasion elements in the form of leather, Kevlar, or 600D Polyester throughout the jacket for the "Slide."
All the jackets have a removable liner and the mesh jackets have a waterproof/warm liner that can be added or removed as required to help regulate temperature throughout the riding season.
Jackets are not just about being seen wearing great looking gear, they're about being seen by other traffic at night. That's why all our Gear has reflective materials strategically built into every suit of armour.
So don't think of your M/C jacket just as a garment designed to keep you warm/cool while looking good riding, think of your jacket as a suit of armour you will don every time you go to battle; you and your faithful (mechanical) steed.
You, the modern day knight, are not taking on mortal man, you are going up against cars and trucks; mechanical foes several times larger than you.
Give yourself the best chance if the situation goes bad and wrap yourself in some solid gear.
